History of the cafe in Llandovery

The West End Cafe has been in Llandovery for years and formed a central meeting place in this drovers town.

A word from the owner...

Hi my name is Mark Vince and became a partner in the 'WEST END CAFE' in the spring of 1991,after 3yrs hard work I managed to buy the cafe out right. I can't believe where the time has gone!!

We (by We I mean myself and all the Staff that have worked so hard over the years and we are like a family) would like to take this oppurtunity to thank regular and loyal customers over the past 18 years, they are varied and from all walks of life which makes it so interesting and many have become personal friends.

We have evolved over the years by improving the food, service, and the premises so you the customer can enjoy, and will continue to do so.

We like to pride ourselves on giving a good Welcome to who ever comes to the Cafe wether they have a cup of tea or a Main Meal, and that they leave us feeling they can take on the rest of the day or that they are relaxed!!
Some of the different types of custmers that call in are local wether for a drink or a meal, day trippers, cyclists, coach parties, tourists, oh and there are the motorbikes {only joking guys and girls how could I forget] and many many more....

The biggest Improvment was the toilets which took 3 monthes to complete including weekends, thanks to Evans Bros Builbers. We also closed for a week when we were flooded out and the whole floor had to be replaced that was a massive effort by everyone including Evans Bros. We changed the seating area in middle and front of cafe and put new glass doors in to enter into the courtyard/garden area. We also changed the front elevation of the cafe including windows, which has made a great improvment and to the 1st impression when anyone passes the premises.
